What’s on Bath May, June & beyond. The Festivals Edit.
#hotstays TOP FIVE
Hello warmer days and longer evenings.
The weather isn’t the only thing getting warmer; the Bath social calendar is also about to get your temperature rising. Yep, get excited for the months ahead in Bath, not that you need any more excuses to come to Bath this spring/summer, but, if you are looking for an excuse to travel West in the months weeks and months to come, we have some excellent events happening very soon that will get you racing to get you and yours to Aquae Sulis.
We continually update our #weknowBath blog, designed to bring you the very best of the what’s happening in the city.
Here’s 5 very good reasons why Bath is your destination this spring and early summer. The Festival Edit.
1. Bath Comedy Festival
Let’s make a quick start because the annual Bath Comedy Festival is back for 22 and is already underway making people laugh across the city until 21st April (with some dates right through the summer too), and don’t we all need a giggle!
Top pick: Take a walking tour with Bizarre Bath on Tuesday 19th May, more hysterical than historical and will ‘stretch your traditional view of the city’.
2. The Bath Festival
The Bath Festival returns with a bang, with a bigger, brighter and a wider programme of music, literature than in previous years; something for everyone.
Our very own social media manager Sarah has been on the programming team this year, and you can catch her in action with BBC fashion stylist ‘You are what you wear” Kat Farmer at Walcot House Also, don’t miss a stellar cast of funny women for a raucous night out at The Forum with Women on Top a night out out with Helen Thorn, Issy Suttie, Lucy Beaumont, Anna Whitehouse and Jessica Jones. May 31th until 22nd.
3. The Party In the City
The Party In the City kicks off The Bath Festival in fine style with free music events across the city. The organisers say that’s 1000 performers across 30+ venues including 2 outdoor stages in Bath largest arts events… and it is ALL FREE, all night. 13th May is the date to be here!
4. Pub in the Park
Celebrity Chef Tom Kerridge’s Pub in the Park is back at Royal Victoria (Vicky Park) in June (17-19) when you can see Sugarhill Gang, Supergrass, The Brand New Heavies, Mel C as well as a Faithless DJ set across this food and drink fuelled festival weekend.
5. Bath Boules on Queens Square
Catch our team at Bath Boules on Queens Square at the annual charity fundraiser with a distinct French theme. Allez Bath Hot Houses!
Even if you haven’t entered a team, you can still support, spectate and soak up the atmosphere.
Calling all foodies!
In September the Great Bath Feast is back filling the streets of the city with food and drink and merriment. Definitely bookmark 23rd – 25th.
