1. Take in the architecture.

It’s no secret that the honey-coloured stone buildings are one of Bath’s best assets and the best news is that it is all free to access. Marvel at the majesty of the 250-year young Royal Crescent, the clever combining of new architecture alongside the old at The Holburne Museum or see what you can observe along the 700ft frieze that borders the world famous The Circus. The Holburne Museum, as well as The Royal Crescent can be viewed in the latest series of Bridgerton no less.

2. Take a tour

The Mayor of Bath’s Honorary Guides offer free tours of the city. They provide free historic walking tours for individuals and groups when you can learn about Bath’s rich history and architecture. Join them from the Pump Room in Abbey Church Yard most days.

3. Walk the skyline

This incredible walk takes in the best and birds-eye view of the city will help you smash through those 10,000 steps a day that is also a hilly start (if you don’t catch the bus) …but without pain there is no gain! This is a 6-mile woody walk through the hills and woodland above the city that also takes in a view of Capability Brown’s Prior Park Gardens. Views for days, all for free!

4. The Beautiful Balloons

Watch the hot air balloons fly from Royal Victoria Park. On a warm evening, find your spot and marvel at the slowest of ways to travel the west country. It’ll fast become your favourite spectator sport and very much a resident’s secret.

5. Priceless Picnics

Picnic on the lower lawn at The Royal Crescent. Unless you are a resident, in which case you may head to the upper lawn, it’s the lower lawn for you, and us too. However, this is a picnic with an awesome view and perfect for people watching, letting small people let off steam or an excellent place to meet the family, squad, or gang.

Have a great time!
